Apologies for having missed last week’s Would You Rather question, fine readers. I’m in the wild throes of house renovations and was buried beneath a mountain of paint cans, paint trays, paint brushes, paint rollers… You get the picture. Now that I’ve clawed my way out, I’m back with this week’s question.
But first, let’s revisit the previously posed question: Would you rather visit with an alien visitor here on Earth or suit up and travel to outer space? Once again, the responses were pretty evenly divided. About half of you who commented chose to stay here on Earth and entertain our alien visitors with tea and crumpets or sight-seeing tours around the globe. The rest of you were ready to board the next flight to outer space and play among the stars. Indeed, what an intrepid journey that would be.
As for me, I was very nearly enticed to remain on Earth and use the sight-seeing tour as an opportunity to travel to all the places I long to see. But I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see what lies beyond our atmosphere. Sure, I’d need to pack copious amounts of Dramamine and may be viewing outer space through a narcoleptic, half-drugged stupor, but I’ll be in OUTER SPACE.
Besides, I wouldn’t leave Earth without my beloved Italian coffee pot and pounds of freshly ground coffee. I’ll be FINE. REALLY. NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ME DRINKING TOO MUCH COFFEE IN OUTER SPACE. AND NO, MY CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS NOT BROKEN. THIS IS JUST WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU’VE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED WRITING AND YOUR HANDS TURN INTO CLAWS FROM HOLDING A PAINT BRUSH FOR 872,963 HOURS AND YOU’VE BEEN INHALING PAINT FUMES FOR THE LAST THREE WEEKS…
